Oto Kraml

         The main motives in the painting of Dr Oto Kraml, a physician in Lipik Hospital are Slavonian landscapes, still life, flowers. His painting could be ranged in two groups. In the first there is a predominated colour of an object as an impulse to painting and in the second there is a drawing – literary themes. He uses the techniques of water-colour, acrylic, pencil and ink.
         Here he is exposing his miniatures, which only a few painters are concerned with today. While watching these miniatures we may say that the painter is a lyric who reveals the beauty  of the things he is close to. His miniatures radiates refinement and nostalgia, they are true small pearls.

BIOGRAPHY

Oto Kraml was born in Čepin.
He lives in Lipik and works in the Special Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation Lipik.
He has been occupying himself with painting more actively for 6 years.
He works in the following techniques: water-colour, combined technique, oil.
Motives: flowers, still life, landscapes of Lipik and his native Slavonia, occasionally tends to abstraction.
He makes small stone sculptures as well.
He had several individual exhibitions (Pakrac, Gaj, Zagreb, Lipik) and participated in many group exhibitions.
He took part in art colonies in Lipik and Daruvar.
