Exhibition "The making and firing of neolithic pottery"

The exhibition entitled Neolithic Pottery Fabrication and Firing, conceived by Romuald Zlatunić, a senior curator of the Archaeological Museum of Istria, in collaboration with the ceramist Marina Orlić, presents the technological process of the creation and firing of ceramic ware according to genuine items from the Neolithic period of Istria. The methods of making and firing pottery have been recorded on camera by Kristijan Burlović, whose documentary film will be shown at the exhibition. The collaboration between the Archaeological Museum of Istria and the Lošinj Museum, where a smaller part of the original Neolithic pottery fragments and experimentally fired ceramic replicas will be exhibited, will show the result of the analysis of the Neolithic ceramics using various ethno-archaeological and anthropological data on traditional pottery in various regions.
