Ivo Magazzin is born in Biograd na moru. Since 1960 he has lived in Frankfurt where he graduated from the Academy of Art in 1974.
From 1980 to 1998, under the artistic movement Art at Work he makes a series of large murals in the industrial facilities of the Rockwell International Concern throughout the world (the USA, Canada, Asia, Europe).
He is a founder of the episodism, a trend in the contemporary painting, which remains his dominant artistic preoccupation until the present day.
From 2000 to 2002 he lectured as an associate professor at the Acadamy of Art in Frankfurt.
He is a member of the State Association of Professional Painters in the German province of Hessen.
He has been coming to Veli Lošinj from 1993 where he paints in his atelier at the hotel ''Punta''.
At his exhibitions in Frankfurt he promotes the tourism of Lošinj.

The exhibited paintings  (oil on canvas; 150 x 195 cm and 60 x 70 cm) created in Magazzin's atelier in Veli lošinj, represent the author's choice from the cycle ''Mediterranean Magic''.
