Exhibition "Universal Memories" - Max Juhasz
Max Juhasz, in his cycle of photographs entitled In Lost Time, is searching for the childhood that shapes every man and where the meaning of life is formed. Born in Vukovar, he lost his family photographs in the midst of the war for Croatian independence and this cycle is some kind of quest, a recreation of "new" memories. However, unlike old photographs on which significant events have been (on were) documented, these photographs are premeated with nostalgia.
Max Juhasz was born 1967 in Vukovar. He started taking photographs as a documentarist during the Croatian War of Independence in 1991. He has exhibited at numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and aboard; his portofolio was published in renowned domestic and foreign magazines, including online art photography magazines. He is also a founding member of the photographic collective KADAR 36 and member of Croatian Association of Fine Arts (HDLU). As author, He has published three books of photographs so far. He lives and works in Zagreb.
