Bojan Šumonja was born in Pula on October 29 1960.
Graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Pula. Enrolled the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, departement of sculpture, class of prof. Gianfranco Tramontin and graduated in 1984.
Besides painting, he is engaged in sculpture, printmaking, graphic design, stage design, interior design and decoration, as well as in restoration/conservation work.
Exhibited in over 200 group exhibitions and over 60 in Croatia and abroad.
He is a member of Croatian organisation of Artists (HDLU) and of Croatian Freelance Artists Association (HZSU).
Lives and works in Pula.
