Nature is often associated with peace and quiet. However, nature is restless and noisy. It is full of life both in small and in large ratio. And while large beasts are rare but easy to spot, tiny creatures are almost impreceptible, and therefore very present.  Insects - the most numerous and diverse group of animals on Earth. Useful and (sometimes) harmful, they are an indispensable part of nature. Noisy crickets, annoying mosquitoes, nasty wasps, dangerous ticks and many other small animals hide into all corners of nature and, occasionally, appear to/on man. As for Peter Pohl, unlike  most people, insects provoke curiosity and encourage inspiration.

Pter Pohl is born 1966 in Erlangen (Germany). He graduated in 1990 from the Faaculty of Design, University of Aplied Sciences in Augsburg. From 1990 until 1994 he studied at Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna wehere he graduated in 1994. In 1998 he was awarded by the Dr. Michael Stocker Foundation in Rosenheim (Bavaria). He is a member of the artists association Haus der Kunst in Munich from 2016.
